Background:
Wants to play in the United States. Would be in the high school class of 2026.
Born in Gálvez, Santa Fe, Argentina.
Father is Héctor ‘Paul’ Minzer, who had a 14-year basketball career in South America. His brother Jeremias Minzer plays professionally in Argentina.
Was at Club Atlético Santa Paula until Feb. 2023, when he agreed to join Zaragoza in Spain.
Debuted in the Spanish ACB league on Sept. 23, 2023 when he was 16 y/o.
Previously represented Argentina at U-15, U-16, U-17, and U-18 levels.
Was selected for the 2024 NCAA College Basketball Academy and received praise at the event.
Was selected for Basketball Without Borders Americas 2024 and Global 2025.
Played 2024-25 ANGT Munich with the NextGen squad.
Strengths:
Positional playmaking
1.9 A/TO on 3.8 AST to 2 TOV is very encouraging.
Leverages height to make reads over the top of defenses. Processing speed still needs to be quicker.
Reminds me of Joe Ingles.
Defensive production and process
Made the right reads on- and off-ball during the tournament.
Off-ball, anticipated passes. Jumped passing lanes. Read ballhandlers’ intentions. Crowded them without overhelping. Altered plays.
Off-ball, doesn’t ballwatch but is aware of what’s going on when he’s not directly involved in the action. Decent activity sinking into the dunker and creating events around there.
Makes multiple efforts. Dives on the floor. Active motor. Plays with Argentinian grit.
Will rotate and then close out the possession with a DREB, for instance.
On-ball, active hands. Gets low to the floor to poke away guards’ handles. Doesn’t defend in a risky way.
Can get a steal (usually not a block), then score or assist in the open court.
